Um, Jim, you might want to check stats before you start saying crap like that. The Wings were right around .500 in their own division. It was the rest of the better conference that they beat up on. Best team in hockey, as they just proved. Go Wings!!
For Hudler, who defied the people who said he was too small.
For Lebda, who went undrafted and now has a Cup.
For Kopecky…hopefully someday he’ll play in the playoffs.
For Helm, who came out of nowhere and became an important piece of the puzzle.
For Draper, a dollar goes a long way…all the way to four Stanley Cup Championships.
For Downey, who gave us so much life down the stretch.
For Stevie Y., because where would this franchise be if not for him?
For Ken Holland, may you live forever and continue to bring winning to Hockeytown.
For the fans, the ones who stayed during the “dead things” years and the ones who are to young to remember that the Wings were ever bad.

I find it funny the Wings get home ice for beating up on nashville, Columbus(worst franchise in sports) Chicago and St. Louis. Overrated Wings. Burn the city it may improve it!
